Magical Coffee Latte

INGREDIENTS


1 c cashew milk (or other nut milk)
1-2 oz coffee concentrate
1 tsp ashwaganda
1 tsp mushroom adaptogen of choice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs collagen or whey protein
1 date

Ice to serve


METHOD


Blend in the blender until frothy and pour over ice.

If cold brew concentrate isn’t available, espresso or strongly brewed and cooled coffee will do. If you don’t do coffee this is also really lovely with strongly brewed chai tea.


NUTRITION NOTES


Coffee is quite excitatory and can leave one feeling jittery or can even induce anxiety. Blending coffee with adaptogens that help increase the body’s response to stress helps blunt the negative side effects of caffeine (to some extent). It can also be nice to combine taking L-Theanine or CBD with coffee. But know when coffee doesn’t work well in your body, and avoid it as necessary. Each person metabolizes caffeine differently.
